Three Days in Okinawa: Sea & Slow Pace

Day 1: Arrival in Naha

The humid, tropical air hit the moment we landed. We picked up a rental car, drove to Kokusai Street, and grabbed a bowl of Okinawa soba.

The best part of travel is often the unscheduled, empty moments.

Day 2: The Color of the Sea

Driving north, the water shifted from pale green to deep blue. A few favorites:

• Churaumi Aquarium — the giant whale shark is genuinely stunning.
• Kouri Bridge — driving across the sea is unbeatable.
• A random nameless beach turned out to be the most relaxing stop.

A small tip

Bring an international driving permit for the rental car, and take sunscreen seriously — the tropical sun is no joke.
